Order books already filled until mid 2021

The environmental technology company Probig (Vöcklamarkt) is planning to expand at the company’s location in the very same year and wants to strengthen itself with additional employees in order to meet future challenges of the global market for environmental technology. Major international orders make this possible.
“The order books are already well filled until mid-2021 and I expect that we will sign further contracts in the refinery and petrochemical sectors in the next few weeks”, says Augustin Perner, Managing Partner of Probig. After five years of intensive preparation, international orders of more than 3.2 million euros have been secured this year. Planned projects include flotation scrapers for a refinery in Kazakhstan and bottom and floating sludge scrapers for wastewater treatment plants in Israel, Croatia and Germany.
Despite the very good order situation, the team of Probig faces major challenges in terms of project coordination. Due to the corona crisis, the construction of various plants had to be postponed to a later date until the respective travel restrictions are lifted. “Global developments indicate that some projects will probably not be installed until 2021”, adds Perner. Nevertheless, the lockdown period was used to develop high-quality, reusable protective masks that are 100% recyclable. These mouth-nose protection masks are available directly via Probig, amongst others.
In order to ensure the top position at international level in long term, an area of land with more than 10.000 m² was purchased last year, on which a modern production hall with an area of more than 1.000 m² is to be built. The ground-breaking ceremony for the construction is scheduled to take place next month, and the awarding procedure is still ongoing. “We will again invest almost two million euros here at our location in Vöcklamarkt”, says Perner. The number of employees is to be increased to 25. Probig currently employs 12 people.
